Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a continuously evolving subject. As technology has advanced, so have the challenges facing the modern engineer. EEE is a subject that naturally partners with other disciplines to open whole new engineering avenues. Examples include Mechatronics – with Mechanical Engineering, Bio-medical Sciences-with Medicine and Avionics-with Aeronautics. The EEE Department prepares students using new-age information and computer- intensive technologies.
→ The B.Tech degree program is designed to achieve a balance between depth of knowledge acquired through specialization and breadth of knowledge gained through exploration. The undergraduate degree courses offered by the department provide a comprehensive foundation in the core topics of EEE coupled with an area of specialization relevant to emerging engineering challenges. The curriculum has been designed to create professional electrical and electronic engineers, who can serve in the fields of core electrical engineering, information and communication systems, and other related fields.
DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
Communications is an industry that has changed our lives in a very short period it has changed the way we have looked at things since centuries. It is one industry that is going to shape our future for centuries to come. Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) is rapidly progressing field with technology enveloping our everyday life, opportunities for electronics engineers are endless.
→ The focus of the program is to inculcate the formal education and extensive practical application in fundamental and advancement of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The flexible course study at BITS Group of Institutions, allowed student to expand their knowledge in their desired field of research.
DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
Mechanical engineers require a solid understanding of key concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, energy and manufacturing. They use these principles in the design and analysis of automobiles, aircrafts, heating and cooling systems, buildings and bridges, industrial equipment and machinery and many more.
→ The B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is a comprehensive degree program. The goal of the curriculum is to create a flexible undergraduate educational experience in design, mathematics, modeling, computing, management, engineering science, humanities, social sciences and fine arts, Principal study topics include fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer, solid mechanics, material engineering, manufacturing, energy systems, dynamics and control, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) and others.
→ This broad and flexible program allows students to customize their programs to meet their objectives and particular carrier goals. Traditional student can prepare for technological carrier in industry, graduate school or management. The more interdisciplinary students can utilize this program as a launching pad for professional carriers in business or public services.
DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
→ Information Technology is developing at an extraordinary pace. Through the application of information and communication technology, its scope and influence now reaches all the traditional areas of industry, commerce, government, education, and emerging new markets. The course broadly covers the areas of computer science, software development and information systems, providing a good foundation for a rapidly changing industry.
→ The course opens a gateway to serve in the fields of software development, web designing, DBMS, technical support, network assistance, software testing and hardware.
Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA)
The managerial activities at small enterprises are a responsibility of owners while in multinational companies and large scale organizations, managerial responsibility is given to a hierarchy of skilled and certified professionals. The most valuable employees are those who have not only a sound knowledge and understanding of the various parts of a business, but those who are quick learners and team players with leadership potential. Business activities are multifaceted and thus call for professionally qualified experts in business administration. The Bachelor of Business administration programe is designed around a set of modules that are common to all pathways. These modules cover general business functions, strategic management and organizational analysis. These modules also guide a aspirant towards the achievement of the generic post-graduate goals of strategic awareness, developing leadership potential and understanding the theory and practice of international business.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The growth of Indian economy over the last 15 years has been tremendous. The opening up of Indian economy has led to free inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) along with modern cutting edge technology, which has increased the importance of private sector in Indian economy considerably. Previously, the Indian market was ruled by the government enterprises but the scene in Indian market changed as soon as the markets were opened for investments in 1991. This saw the rise of the Indian private sector companies in Banking, retail, Telecommunication, automobiles, Insurance, Manufacturing etc. which prioritized customer’s need and speedy service through skilled manpower. Working in a large, modern, international organization, a medium sized company or even a small start-up firm requires a range of business capabilities.
The curriculum is designed to provide contemporary knowledge and skill, both functional and entrepreneurial in the field of management and information technology to provide students with necessary foundation and advanced knowledge. We also provide corporate exposure to students by corporate visits. The institute ensures application of theoretical fundamentals to real life situation through projects, case studies, role plays, management games, quizzes and industry interaction that are organized at a regular frequency.
Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two-year full time programme equivalent to an MBA. The programme offers specialisations in Finance, Operations, Marketing and Information Management. PGDM is the most sought after programme of BITS. It is being offered since 1994 and is widely acclaimed for its strong curriculum in the industry and academic circles.
