The Second Alumni Meet of Bhagwati Institute of Technology & Science was held on 01stMay, 2016 in BITS premises. More than 200 alumni all around the country participated in this meeting. It was a wonderful occasion to meet and share the experiences with the alumni who graduated from the institute over past 6 Years.

The Alumni Meet was inaugurated with the lightning of lamp by our Hon’ble Vice Chairman Shri M. K. Singhal Ji, Hon’ble General Secretary Shri Rakesh Singhal Ji, Hon’ble Secretray Shri Himanshu Singhal Ji, Hon’ble Treasurer Shri Rohan Singhal Ji, Hon’ble Joint Secretary Shri Ayush Singhal Ji, Respected Director Prof. (Dr.)Meenu Sahni, Respected Dean (Academics) Mr. Sachiv Kumar and Respected Dean (Admissions) Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Singh. They enlightened the students with their rich experiences &inspired them for determined move towards their aspirations.

An opportunity was given to every alumnus to share their experiences on their journey in BITS and its impact in their career. Some of them reminisced about their stay in their hostel. Many valuable suggestions on the future directions for research & teaching priorities in BITS also shared.

The presence of eminent faculty members made this event more interactive. It was the collective efforts of the following faculty committee for alumni under the guidance of head Mr. Amit Chauhan, which lead to success of the event of the day. The proactive members were Mr. S.S. Pachori, Mr. Anmol Gupta, Mr. Ram Sharma, Mr. Amit Sharma, Mr. Vishal Tyagi and Mrs. Shalu Tyagi.

All the participants opined that alumni could play an active role in growth & development of BITS and also pledged their active support for the same.

The evening was charmed by radiant song performance by Vikas kumar, a present batch student of B.Tech CS–IVth year.

The new office bearers of the Alumni Association have also been elected and the formal announcement of the next alumni meet in June’ 2018has been done. It was indeed heartening to see so many alumni especially from the initial batches, come and share their experiences and guide their juniors to en-cash their time in BITS. The committee members were presented with a memento as a token of love. The evening was concluded by warm vote of thanks by the Faculty viz. Mr. Tarun Bindal and Mr. Suyash Tyagi.

All in all the evening resulted in sharing of reminiscent time, new networks built, rich experience shared and a lot of appreciation conveyed by the alumni to BITS for such an exemplary event organized. The all-pervasive feeling of the occasion is extracted in a line “Education is what survives, after you’ve forgotten what you memorize.”
